HIAG signs agreement for joint marketing of IT infrastructures with the Tarchini Group and Beelastic

Basel, 27 December 2019 – HIAG will operate and market the IT infrastructure remaining after the termination of the project for its own multicloud platform in future together with the Ticino-based Tarchini Group and the Zug-based IT infrastructure specialist Beelastic. Beelastic will also take over the network infrastructure and network customers of HIAG Data. The cooperation will start after the transfer of the network supplier contracts in the first quarter of 2020.
The agreed cooperation with the Tarchini Group and Beelastic represents an important step in the program of measures to reduce operating costs that will run until 2028 at the latest, mainly due to contractual network obligations and existing customer contracts of HIAG Data. As planned, HIAG will continue the restructuring and refocusing of HIAG Data.
Like HIAG, the Tarchini Group (www.tarchinigroup.com) of entrepreneur Silvio Tarchini is primarily active in the development and letting of real estate. It has an IT infrastructure that complements that of HIAG, and operates, among others, Bancadati.ch SA (www.bancadati.ch), one of the largest data centers in Ticino.
Beelastic, which focuses on the operation of IT infrastructures, in particular private fiber optic networks and data centers, will offer cloud infrastructure services via its own IT platform, using the IT infrastructures of the Tarchini Group and HIAG.
