Follow-up costs from bankruptcy of Rohner AG impact HIAG half-year results 2019

Basel, 28 August 2019 – HIAG's first-half results 2019 will be impacted by around CHF 45 million for revaluation losses and provisions relating to the bankruptcy of Rohner AG, Pratteln. This also includes the cost estimate of a specialist company for the dismantling of the production infrastructure and the rehabilitation of the Pratteln site.
After no new tenant for the insolvent Rohner AG had been found until now despite discussions with various interested parties, HIAG decided to initiate the development of the site taken over from Rohner AG in 2018 as part of a sale and leaseback transaction in close proximity of Pratteln railway station about 15 years before the initially planned date.
HIAG will publish its half-year report 2019 on 2 September 2019.
