In the Lancy part of Geneva, a new centre with up to 12’000 residential units and 6’200 jobs as well as an attractive range of infrastructure and public facilities is being built on around 230 hectares as part of the implementation of the PAV (Praille-Acacias-Vernets) redevelopment project. With the “Porte Sud” site, HIAG is the only private owner at this location in the direct vicinity of the Stade de Genève, which was directly connected to the suburban train line of the Léman Express between the main train station of Geneva and Annemasse (F) at the end of 2019. The club “Village du Soir”, which was launched in 2016, meets all the conditions for a successful interim use with comfortable, beach-style bars, a night market, small restaurants and shops as well as a constant rotation of seasonal attractions. It is an attractive destination that is firmly anchored in the region and that will continue to exist after the completion of “Porte Sud”. The design contract to develop a specific project has already been awarded.
