Diesellokal
The Diesellokal breathes fresh vitality and diversity into Unterwindisch. The event venue and meeting place is a wonderful addition to life at the Kunzareal, offering residents a place to hold public events on their doorstep. The Diesellokal is a kind of communal living room for people living at the Kunzareal.
What was once home to the diesel generators that kept the spindles in motion in the event of insufficient water power is now the heart of the Kunzareal. Parts of the old generators remain as if forming a guard of honour, bearing witness to the past and watching over the new life in the Diesellokal. Today, there is no shortage of movement in the Diesellokal, a space for local people to come together and enjoy a variety of uses with no barriers to entry. The Diesellokal association does not normally organise events itself, but instead offers the Diesellokal to Kunzareal residents as a venue for public functions. The Diesellokal exists to be used and enjoyed! All Diesellokal association members and Kunzareal residents are invited to organise events, uses and functions at the Diesellokal, and to contribute towards creating a vibrant district.
