The installed capacity thus exceeds 4.3 MW. A further expansion of around 2 MW of capacity is planned for the next two years. HIAG Solar will then install a total panel area of around 28,000 m2 and generate solar electricity of 6 million kWh per year, which corresponds to an annual CO2 saving equivalent of around 1,700 tonnes.

The focus of this expansion step was on the Kleindöttingen industrial park with its correspondingly large roof areas. The largest system to date was realised on the halls at Industriestrasse 26-34, where a system with around 916 kWp will supply the tenant with energy at interesting conditions.
